About Me

My name is Jennifer Hitchcock and, I am currently a psychology major at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. I am 21 years old and just got married on December 29, 2001 to my wonderful husband, Bill. Because the entire wedding experience was such a big part of my life for the past 2 years, I decided to put down my thoughts on the matter. I found out that being a college student added more pressure to that period and brought more challenges. Because most wedding guides are geared towards older people, I thought it might be helpful to write one that college students and young people can relate to.

Like many college students, I have a very busy schedule with juggling school, work, and a social life, however, I also have the responsibilities that go along with marriage. Most students do not have this added aspect to their lives. I also have many hobbies that I am interested in, as well, the biggest of which is Disney. I am the biggest Disney fanatic in the world. I live in Florida, so I go to Disney World all of the time. I also see all of the movies and collect Disney paraphernalia. I also like to hang out with my friends and am very active at my church, BayLife.

As I said before, I am a psychology student, and I will graduate in December. After that, I plan to go to graduate school at Denver Seminary and work toward my master's degree in Christian, marriage and family counseling. Eventually, I would like to work for a church or a Christian organization such as Focus on the Family. My main goal is to help people and to serve. My husband is currently working towards his degree in Computer Information Technology and has just started his own tech support business, LifeTech Computers. He is very supportive of my dreams and goals and has promised to go wherever I need to.
